Areas of Focus
Anxiety
If you are experiencing mental health symptoms such as panic, OCD or anxiety, we can work together to implement evidence-based strategies such as gradual exposure, somatic and mindful coping skills, cognitive diffusion, and values-based action.
Academic and Young Professional Stress
School, university and the workplace can present specific stressors - from burnout and perfectionism to imposter syndrome and social anxiety. I work with preteens, adolescents and young adults to increase emotional literacy and resilience, regulate their nervous systems, and create a robust sense of self.
Trauma and Stress
At your own pace, we can cultivate a sense of safety in your mind and body through an understanding of neurobiology, somatic techniques, and parts work. I support clients who have been impacted by different types of traumatic experiences and life hardships, including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, complex trauma, and medical trauma.
Executive and Career Counseling
Planning a career change? Trying to refine your leadership skills? Looking to address interpersonal or communication challenges at work? I am equipped to assist organizations, executives, and professionals through a “whole person” approach to workplace wellness.
Attention and Creativity
“The most difficult part of our mind to control is our imagination” - Dr. Hallowell. Whether you have been diagnosed with ADHD, or experience challenges surrounding impulsivity, attention and anxiety, I am here to help you achieve your goals. We will work together to address executive functioning issues, engage your imagination and creativity, and work with your brain to empower you. I have particular experience working with teen girls and women who have ADHD, and may have been diagnosed later in life.
Relationship Issues and Connection
In the words of Esther Perel, “the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives.” I work with couples and dyads (including non-monogamous relationships) to deepen emotional connection, de-escalate conflict, meet attachment needs, heal from betrayal, improve communication and define boundaries.
Chronic Health Issues
Our bodies are our life-long homes, and our relationship to them is constantly evolving. In therapy, we can help you to feel more grounded and connected, using health psychology, somatic techniques, mindfulness, and self compassion. I support clients living with chronic illness and health challenges, as well as individuals healing from medical trauma.
